Straps

Straps are thin but strong fabric. Their production requires following key criteria: high tensile strength and minimal elasticity. To meet these requirements, we use high-quality natural as well as synthetic materials, including high-strength polyester.

Our straps have very wide usage. From safety seatbelts in the automotive industry, through protective equipment in the healthcare industry or agriculture all the way to leashes and other pet supplies. Our straps have also proven their high-quality and long lifetime in police, military and paramedic equipment. High strength straps are used for moving heavy loads. They are furthermore used in upholstery, where they are used for renovation of seating furniture.

ELAS makes their straps on professional Swiss MÜLLER machines. The key properties of our straps, i.e. strength, ductility, flexibility, but also scratch-resistance, are derived from the type of binding and number of threads and fabric layers. Width is another important aspect of any strap. In addition, all our straps are UV-protected. Therefore, sunrays do not damage their color and do not compromise the material structure.
